HR Generalist

The HR Generalist will manage the day-to-day HR function at our client's Bethlehem Warehouse facility. As part of the local management team, this person will serve as a true business partner, helping design, drive, and implement HR and operational initiatives onsite. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a genuine path to permanent placement for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt staff, including postings, applicant evaluation, and pre-employment screening
• Serve as a functional resource ensuring employee understanding of and compliance with benefits, HR policies, and regulations
• Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA
• Manage timecard and PTO approval processes
• Ensure HRIS and employee filing systems are properly maintained
• Drive employee engagement action planning and retention initiatives
• Lead investigations and provide mentorship to managers/supervisors on disciplinary recommendations
• Partner with leadership to resolve employee issues and improve engagement, retention, and performance
• Support successful roll-out of performance management processes, including goal setting and development plans
• Partner with the Environmental, Safety & Health team to support workplace safety programs
• Identify and implement training solutions across departments

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of HR experience in food manufacturing or warehousing environments
• BA/BS in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong HRIS proficiency; experience with ADP Workforce Now and Success Factors preferred
• Working knowledge of federal and state-level employment labor laws
• General knowledge of OSHA regulations
• HR certification (PHR/SHRM) preferred, not required
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with diverse personalities across all levels of the organization
