What You'll Do

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Assist with patient preparation, sterilization, and room turnover
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Follow all safety and procedural protocols within the OR setting
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor patient progress throughout procedures
• Adapt to a variety of surgical cases, including emergent and scheduled surgeries

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license or applicable compact license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience; CVOR experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

About the Assignment

This assignment is at a leading medical facility in Slidell, LA, supporting a busy surgical unit performing 10-25 cases daily. The role involves day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week, with availability for weekdays, weekends, and holidays. First-time travelers are welcome as long as they meet experience requirements.
