Position: Site Director - Bottling Facility
Reports to: VP, Manufacturing & Operations
Location: Hialeah, FL (Miami, FL, USA) On-site, Full Time
Position Summary:
Working at the intersection of wellness, tech, and status – A1R water is the first consumer packaged water brand that utilizes air-to-water technology to create clean, sustainable water from humidity in the air. A1R water is seeking a results-oriented Site Director to manage and operate our bottling facility in Hialeah, FL. The Site Director is the owner, builder, and operator of our first U.S. manufacturing site. This individual will lead the site from greenfield build‐out through steady state production, establishing the people, processes, and culture that will serve as the blueprint for future sites.
This role combines hands‐on operational leadership, project ownership, and organizational design. The Site Director will be expected to be on site every day, deeply engaged in construction, commissioning, hiring, and operational ramp‐up, while actively leveraging expertise and shared services from team members.
As the company scales, the Site Director is expected to develop a successor, enabling them to move into a regional or multi‐site leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Build & Project Ownership
- Act as project owner for the site build‐out, from early design through commissioning and startup of production.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure facilities, utilities, equipment, and workflows support safe, efficient operations.
- Translate high‐level business objectives into practical, executable site plans.
- Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies early and drive timely resolution.
- Lead the implementation and startup of a Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform, ensuring alignment with operational workflows, data structures, and reporting needs across departments. Establish ERP‐driven processes that support scale, transparency, and standardization.
Operational Leadership
- Drive a strong safety culture from day one.
- Own day‐to‐day operational performance once production begins, including safety, quality, throughput, cost, and service.
- Establish standard operating rhythms (daily management, KPIs, escalation paths)
- Lead production across liquid packaging operations, with preference for experience in:
- Glass bottles
- Aluminum cans
- High‐speed filling and packaging environments
Team Build & Organizational Design
- Build the entire site leadership and operator team, including production, maintenance, quality, and support roles.
- Design an organizational structure that scales and can be replicated across future sites.
- Lead by example on the floor and develop a hands‐on, accountability‐driven culture.
- Intentionally identify and mentor a succession leader for the site.
Cross‐Regional Collaboration
- Leverage the international‐based team (UAE) as a shared resource, collaborating on:
- Operating standards and playbooks
- Procurement and supplier alignment
- Quality systems and documentation
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as a connector between local execution and global knowledge, ensuring consistency without sacrificing speed.
Standardization & Scale
- Create and document operational fundamentals (processes, KPIs, routines, staffing models)
- Enable a “copy + paste” approach to future site launches.
- Support future site builds by transferring learnings, tools, and talent.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or packaging operations.
- Direct experience in liquid filling and packaging environments; exposure to glass and/or can lines strongly preferred.
- Experience launching, commissioning, or significantly expanding a manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams from the ground up.
- Strong operational discipline with the flexibility required in a startup environment.
- Comfort operating without heavy corporate infrastructure.
Preferred Background
- Technical background or strong technical aptitude (engineering degree not required, but a plus)
- Experience in consumer-packaged goods, beverage, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Prior exposure to multi‐site or global operations
- Experience developing leaders and succession planning.
