Team Leader

Position Overview: As a Team Leader at Steak N Shake, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of crew members, maintaining high standards of service, ensuring compliance with company policies, and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Development: Supervise and inspire a team of crew members by providing guidance and support, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting teamwork. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that every guest receives outstanding service, promptly addressing any guest concerns or feedback to enhance their dining experience. Operational Management: Assist in the daily operations of the restaurant, including inventory management, food safety compliance, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Training & Onboarding: Help train new employees on company standards, menu items, and customer service expectations, ensuring all staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively. Sales & Performance Goals: Collaborate with management to achieve monthly sales targets, implement promotions, and enhance customer engagement to drive business growth. Scheduling: Assist in scheduling team members to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while considering employee availability and labor costs. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, and that the work environment is safe for teammates and guests alike. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality management is a plus. Previous experience in a restaurant or retail environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with both team members and guests. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for the food service industry. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling cash and managing inventory. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
