We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Benefits Sales Professional to support a client engagement in Washington, DC. This position is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with a strong background in employee benefits consulting and business development within the mid-market segment.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities within the employee benefits market.
• Build and manage relationships with prospective employer clients.
• Conduct sales presentations, client meetings, and business development activities.
• Prepare customized proposals, RFP responses, and sales presentations.
• Lead the sales process from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.
• Identify market opportunities through research and strategic outreach.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective client solutions.
• Represent the organization at industry events and networking opportunities.
• Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of Health & Benefits or Employee Benefits sales experience.
• Experience selling employee benefits solutions to employers with approximately 1,000–5,000 employees.
• Strong business development and consultative selling skills.
• Proven success generating new business and closing complex sales.
• Experience working directly with executive-level decision-makers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Life & Health Insurance License.
• Experience in employee benefits consulting or brokerage.
• Established professional network within the employee benefits industry.

Compensation & Benefits

• $150,000–$170,000 annual salary

Work Schedule

Hybrid schedule requiring three days per week onsite in Washington, DC.
