Job Responsibilities
- Create Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and formulate tailored therapy approaches that help them achieve critical functional objectives
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ evidence-based interventions to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and activities of daily living
- Coordinate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work cooperatively with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver holistic patient care
- Guide Patients and Families: Provide education to patients and caregivers about therapy methods to support sustained progress at home
- Track and Adjust Treatment Outcomes: Monitor patient development and modify treatment plans as necessary to maintain progress
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited education program
- Encouragement for continuous education and advanced certifications
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required
- A strong desire to assist others in finding their path to independence
- Effective and compassionate communication with patients and team members
- Creativity and adaptability to address diverse patient needs
- Confidence to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a close-knit team
