Job Description

• Customize Treatment Plans: Assess patients' different needs and devise individualized therapy approaches to help them reach their functional milestones
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Use research-supported practices to improve patients' physical abilities and daily living skills
• Integrate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with other healthcare professionals including PTs, STs, doctors, and nurses to provide rounded and thorough care
• Educate Patients and Families: Share essential therapy techniques with patients and their families to encourage ongoing improvement in the comfort of their homes
• Track Progress: Regularly assess and document advancements, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to keep patients on their path to recovery

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
• Encouragement and support for continued education or post-graduate certifications

Certifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification necessary
