Location: Avera St Luke's Hospital Work Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $33.50 - $48.50 per hour (actual pay rate depends on experience) Job Summary Delivers nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing comprehensive support to patients, families, and friends. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the healthcare team. Coordinate with other healthcare providers; confer with physicians. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, assessing patient conditions, and documenting physical, psychological, and social factors. Teach patients and families about their condition, medications, and self‑care skills. Evaluate patient care by measuring health outcomes and revising care plans as needed. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Maintain patient care equipment in working order, troubleshoot issues, manage supplies, and coordinate repairs. Ensure supplies are stocked and ready by checking inventory and managing orders. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as required by leadership. Essential Qualifications An individual must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including visual acuity, effective communication, and hearing. Required Education, License / Certification, or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing Active license in the state of practice upon hire Preferred Education, License / Certification, or Work Experience 1-3 years of experience working in a clinical environment Expectations and Standards Commit daily to Avera’s mission, vision, core values, and social principles.
