Providing Support and Companionship as a Hospice Volunteer

Hospice volunteers provide comfort, companionship, and dignity to individuals and families during one of life’s most meaningful moments. Volunteers are a vital part of our care team, offering emotional support, a listening ear, and simple acts of kindness that make a lasting difference.

Volunteer roles may include:

Providing companionship and emotional support to patients
Offering respite and support to caregivers
Reading, talking, listening, or simply being present
Assisting with non-medical tasks or administrative support
Honoring veterans through recognition and companionship

We’re looking for volunteers who are:

Compassionate, dependable, and good listeners
Comfortable offering support during end-of-life care
Able to respect privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
