Market Respiratory Therapist - Night ShiftThis is a 13-week contract position.Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts.The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing quality patient care through intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, while operating within the scope of professional license and with minimal supervision. This role involves evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and explaining treatment procedures, tests, and equipment to patients. Additionally, the therapist will educate patients upon discharge to home.Responsibilities:Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment for medication, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation.Perform chest physiotherapy and operate equipment to promote secretion clearance.Conduct suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal) and monitor oximetry and capnography as per policy.Review patient chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies (NIF, VC, etc.) according to policy.Assist with respiratory care-related procedures (e.g., Bronchoscopy, Chest Tube placement).Perform tracheostomy care, including tube insertion and removal.Execute arterial punctures and monitor ventilation efficiency.Follow laboratory testing policies, including specimen handling and reporting results.Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.Operate, maintain, and monitor various mechanical ventilation equipment.Record pertinent treatment information and communicate findings to healthcare team members.Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and documentation.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
