Registered Nurse - ICU

$1713.60/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized critical care nursing to trauma and neuro patients in the Neurovascular Intensive Care Unit (NVICU). Deliver attentive, compassionate, and evidence-based care for complex neurological and medical conditions, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess, monitor, and document patient status using advanced equipment such as ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000.
  
  
• 
  Perform invasive procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, and EVD insertions.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and therapies per established protocols, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on condition management, procedures, and post-discharge care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and follow unit policies and policies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license with ICU experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in critical care procedures and equipment.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  
  
• 
  Adapt to floating policies, providing care across units as needed.
