Job Title: Mechanical Tool Designer Industrial Automation

Location: Lewis Center, Ohio

Experience: 5 7 Years

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Key Skills:

• Strong experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• Industrial automation and Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design.

• High-speed automation line design and machine integration.

• Conveyor systems and material handling equipment.

• Robotics, pick-and-place systems, servo motors, and pneumatic systems.

• Jigs, fixtures, tooling, bowl feeders, and sensor selection.

• Mechanical component selection, including LM guides and actuators.

• Engineering drawings, BOM preparation, and machine debugging.

• Team leadership and onsite/offshore coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated manufacturing machines and assembly systems.

• Prepare 2D/3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Perform engineering calculations and select appropriate mechanical components.

• Coordinate with electrical engineers, programmers, vendors, machinists, and fabricators.

• Support machine integration, troubleshooting, and project execution.

• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and project requirements.

• Manage design activities, project schedules, and team responsibilities.
