Customer Experience and Showroom Sales Specialist

Black Swan Hearth & Home is a family owned fireplace, stove, hearth, and outdoor living retailer serving Connecticut since 1979. We are looking for an experienced Customer Experience and Showroom Sales Specialist to join our team.

This is not a typical corporate retail job. You will work directly with the owners and alongside a small, close knit team where your work matters, your ideas are heard, and your effort gets noticed.

About the Position

This position is approximately 50 percent customer service and 50 percent showroom sales.

Some days, you will be the friendly voice and face helping customers with questions, following up on concerns, and working with our service, installation, and sales teams.

Other days, you will work directly with showroom customers, helping them choose the right fireplace, stove, grill, or outdoor living product for their home.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks on their feet, follows through, and does not need constant direction . The right person will notice what needs attention, solve problems, and care about creating a great customer experience from the first phone call through the completed project.

This position offers the stability of an hourly wage plus the opportunity to earn commission on showroom sales.

What You Will Do

Customer Service

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions.

• Support customers before, during, and after the sale.

• Communicate with our service, installation, scheduling, and sales teams.

• Help resolve customer concerns and follow through until they are handled.

• Keep customer notes and project information accurate and up to date.

Showroom Sales

• Welcome customers and create a great first impression.

• Ask thoughtful questions and help customers choose products that fit their home, lifestyle, and budget.

• Prepare quotes and guide customers through the purchasing process.

• Follow up consistently and build lasting customer relationships.

• Learn to become a product expert in fireplaces, stoves, grills, and outdoor kitchens.

No hearth industry experience is required. We will train you.
