The Opportunity with McKinstry We are currently seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our team as a member of our growing Data Center Innovations division in Austin, TX . You will be joining an established and diverse group of people where you will be able to make an immediate impact. Supporting Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement processes. Tracking current and future jobs while also projecting future staffing requirements. Reviewing contracts, drawings, specifications, and other resources to answer questions. Coordinating equipment procurement with the purchasing department and outside vendors to order and expedite material. Assisting in the development of Scope of Work for subcontractors. Coordinating job set-up, site mobilization, project administration, and closeout. Overseeing the scheduling and coordination of trades. Coordinating the McKinstry scope of work with the project drawings and specifications. Assisting in preparation of Job Start and Project Closeout project binders and meeting materials. Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reporting. Communicating with Architect, Engineer, and Owner, to assist the Project Manager with daily duties or act as Project Manager. As necessary coordinating field activities of self-performed and subcontracted work. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, estimates, and other regularly encountered items required. BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management or comparable degree—or equivalent work experience required. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred. Customer service and/or office administration experience preferred. Pay range: $29.55 - $48.89 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is considered non-exempt and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
