Orthopedic Surgical Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Northern Wisconsin

Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua is seeking a Surgical Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedics to join our team in Minocqua, Wisconsin . The Surgical Nurse Practitioner provides patient services in collaboration with a licensed Physician. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care, as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare disciplines, utilizing a team approach to healthcare.

You will work with an experienced team providing orthopedic care in a Level III trauma center.

Job Qualifications

For Nurse Practitioners - Completion of a master's, post-master's, or doctorate from an nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice.

Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substance

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
