New Grad - Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Urgent Care Plainville, Massachusetts, United States; Weymouth, Massachusetts, United States ConvenientMD is seeking motivated new graduates and early-career Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) to join our urgent care teams. You will provide patient-centered care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with opportunities to learn and grow as part of a supportive team. Your Impact Provide Patient-Centered Care: Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs while delivering high-quality, efficient care. Subtasks include: Assess patient health: Interview patients, perform physical examinations, obtain and update medical histories. Determine abnormal conditions: Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, ECGs, laboratory studies) and interpret results. Perform therapeutic procedures: Administer injections and immunizations, suture, and manage wounds and infections. Educate and counsel: Provide health information, discuss therapeutic regimens, growth and development, family planning, and wellness through counseling and guidance. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare accurate medical records, document and electronically sign notes and records using EMR in accordance with policies; maintain a safe, clean work environment; adhere to infection-control policies; and comply with legal and professional requirements. Collaborate with a Team: Work with other providers to efficiently treat patients and coordinate dispositions, including transfers, in a timely manner. Continuing Education: Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies. Qualifications Education, Licensure, & Certifications: Master’s degree and certification by the Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body; DEA license required with no restrictions; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). Note: CPR/ACLS or online-only classes are not accepted. Relevant experience: Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care preferred (rotations acceptable). Skills and traits: Strong teamwork, proactive and confident communication (written and verbal), compassionate patient focus, technical proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge: Understanding of patient services, applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA/OSHA), pharmacology basics, patient care supports, and current clinical delivery methods. Pay Transparency ConvenientMD has defined hourly pay ranges to maintain equity. Final compensation is determined during the interview process and may be influenced by location, experience, market conditions, and budget considerations. The listed range for this role is $52-$60 USD per hour. In addition to base compensation, Urgent Care providers are eligible for earnings through a productivity-based incentive program tied to visits per shift and aligned with quality standards.
