Government Contracts Attorney

Location: [Washington, DC or San Francisco – Multiple Offices/Flexible] Practice Area: Government Contracts / Federal Procurement About the Opportunity A highly respected boutique law firm is seeking a Government Contracts Associate to join its nationally recognized practice. This team advises clients across the full lifecycle of government contracting, including complex regulatory, litigation, and advisory matters at the federal, state, and local levels. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners on high-stakes matters while gaining meaningful responsibility early on. Key Responsibilities Handle bid protests before agencies, GAO, and the Court of Federal Claims Work on claims, REAs, and contract disputes, including terminations Advise clients on FAR/DFARS compliance, procurement regulations, and ethics issues Assist with internal investigations, False Claims Act matters, and disclosures Requirements 2+ years of experience in government contracts law Experience with bid protests, claims, or regulatory compliance strongly preferred Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement frameworks Strong research, writing, and analytical skills An active DC, Maryland, Virginia, or California bar license Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 and 225,000 annually . Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
