Project Manager/Estimator

A highly reputable, family-owned and operated Commercial Construction Management Firm based in Central Connecticut is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Senior Project Manager/Estimator to join its growing team. This dual-role position is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to manage complex construction projects, secure new work through expert estimating, and contribute to the firm’s continued success across the Northeast.Senior Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator Location: Central Connecticut (Serving the Northeast Region) Salary Range $115,000 to $140,000Key Responsibilities:As a Senior Project Manager/Estimator, you will have two primary functions: providing comprehensive management direction for 2-3 commercial construction projects simultaneously and driving new business.Project Management Focus: Manage and direct all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout. Maintain extensive knowledge of budgeting, design, scheduling, purchasing, and overall project management. Represent the firm effectively in all meetings with owners and subcontractors.Estimating Focus: Prepare competitive bids and detailed proposals to secure new work. Conduct construction estimating, cost analysis, and value engineering throughout the design process.What You Need to Bring: The successful candidate will be a construction leader with a proven track record of both successful project delivery and accurate cost estimation.Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant commercial construction field experience (Project Management/Estimating experience preferred). Education: Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent technical training and experience. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of all construction trades, sequencing, coordination, and strong construction estimating skills. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for client and team meetings. Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency, including experience with MS Project, Word, and Excel. Certifications: Active OSHA Certification and a Valid Driver’s License. Attitude: Excellent work ethic and a proactive “can-do” attitude toward solving problems.Preferred Skills: Experience with advanced Project Management and Estimating software such as Procore and/or BuildingConnected is a plus.
