Shipping And Receiving Associate

The Shipping and Receiving Associate supports efficient warehouse operations by handling full totes from automated robots, reloading totes, stacking totes onto pallets, and operating pallet jacks. This role ensures accurate material handling, picking, packing, and inventory movement while maintaining a safe, organized, and comfortable work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive full totes from robots and move them to designated areas in the warehouse.
• Reload totes as needed to support ongoing warehouse and fulfillment operations.
• Stack totes neatly and safely onto pallets to prepare materials for storage or shipment.
• Operate pallet jacks to move pallets and materials throughout the facility.
• Perform picking and packing tasks accurately according to order specifications.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory, confirm picks, and maintain accurate records.
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage and ensure product integrity.
• Count items and verify quantities against documentation and system records.
• Use computer systems to enter data, confirm transactions, and update inventory status.
• Lift and move items up to 35 pounds regularly while following safe lifting practices.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory control.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment.
• Help keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Report any issues with equipment, inventory discrepancies, or safety concerns promptly.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience operating pallet jacks in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Proficient counting skills with the ability to verify quantities accurately.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
• Ability to use RF scanners for picking, packing, and material handling tasks.
• Experience with material handling, including moving, stacking, and organizing inventory.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and inventory records.

Work Environment

The role is based in an air-conditioned and heated warehouse of approximately 6,000 square feet, maintained at a comfortable temperature range of 6872 degrees. The facility uses pallet jacks, totes, pallets, RF scanners, and computer systems to support efficient operations. Team members work on the warehouse floor in a setting that allows music, contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while still focusing on safety, productivity, and accuracy.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
