Job Title CNC Machine Operator - Punch Press or Press Brake (Days & Nights) Job Summary The CNC Machine Operator - Punch Press or Press Brake is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Punch Press or Press Brake machines to produce precise components from various materials, such as metals, with high accuracy. This position requires the flexibility to work overnight shifts as needed. Core Responsibilities Machine Setup: Configure and prepare the CNC Punch Press or Press Brake machine by installing the correct punch and die tools, setting material feeds, and programming according to job specifications. Programming and Operation: Load and adjust CNC programs, interpreting technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and blueprints to ensure that each punch or press pattern is precise and meets exact specifications. Material Handling: Safely load and secure sheet metal or other materials, making adjustments as necessary to ensure alignment and efficiency. Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks during and after punching or pressing to verify that tolerances and specifications are met, using creativity and innovation to solve issues and refine processes. Machine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting the machine and tools, to ensure smooth operation and avoid delays or breakdowns. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems, such as tool wear or alignment issues, making real-time adjustments to maintain product quality. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards, including the proper use of PPE, and follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Experience with CNC Punch Press or Press Brake machines or similar equipment in manufacturing settings. Flexibility to work overnight shifts is required. Knowledge of metals and materials commonly used with CNC punching or pressing processes.
