Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems using the nursing process
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for assigned patients
• Utilize knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to facilitate smooth transitions through the healthcare encounter without preventable complications or delays
• Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient condition, and employee competencies
• Coordinate patient care delivery across the health care team using a professional nursing practice model

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or active Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience in an acute care setting
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must disclose any previous employment history at this facility at time of submission
• Proof of taxable address required (e.g., Driver's License, utility bill, lease/rental agreement, mortgage statement, insurance statement, voter registration, bank statement, or tax return)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with public health system environments and care delivery models
• Experience working within a team-based, collaborative nursing practice model
