Job Summary

We’re seeking a customer-focused, solutions-oriented professional for a sales and service hybrid role. The primary focus is helping individuals and families explore life and health insurance options that fit their needs, while delivering exceptional ongoing service to our current client base. You’ll also help resolve complex questions, address escalated concerns, and guide customers toward timely, practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage prospective and existing customers to understand their goals, concerns, and insurance needs.
• Explain life and health insurance products, coverage options, and application processes in a clear, easy-to-understand way.
• Recommend suitable coverage options based on customers’ needs, subject to applicable licensing and agency procedures.
• Generate and follow up on leads, prepare quotes, present options, and support customers through the application process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients through responsive, professional service.
• Answer policy and account questions, assist with service requests, and help customers understand available next steps.
• Handle escalated inquiries with empathy, sound judgment, and clear communication; research issues and coordinate with carriers or appropriate team members as needed.
• Take ownership of customer concerns by tracking them through resolution and following up to confirm a satisfactory outcome.
• Maintain accurate records, document customer interactions, and protect confidential information.
• Meet agreed-upon sales, service, and quality goals while complying with licensing requirements and applicable regulations.
• Participate in ongoing product, service, sales, and compliance training.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, listening, and customer relationship skills.
• A customer-first mindset and the ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused when handling difficult situations.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities while prioritizing customers’ needs and providing appropriate recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to research issues, coordinate with others, and follow through to resolution.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Comfort using computers, customer relationship management systems, and digital communication tools.
• Previous experience in insurance, life or health sales, customer service, or account management is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required state insurance licenses. Licensing support may be available.
• Ability to meet role-specific sales and service metrics while maintaining a high standard of customer care.
