Senior Manager Accounting

Job Summary The Senior Manager Accounting supports the execution of Bora Biologics financial strategy, overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. The role ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, manages key accounting processes, and maintains financial records within the Bora Biologics Rockville operation, reporting financial information to local and corporate upper management. Essential Functions Recommend, perform, and review internal financial controls over financial reporting and maintain procedures to safeguard company assets and data integrity. Champion process optimization within the finance department, identifying and implementing workflows that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Leverage expertise in SAP and other business tools to architect scalable reporting, automations, and data management. Maintain a meticulous approach to data integrity, ensuring accurate and timely financial information across all systems. Ensure accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the company’s accounting policies and US GAAP. Assist in managing month‑end and year‑end close processes, working to improve efficiency and reduce close cycles. Ensure integrity of inventory system in accordance with established internal controls. Ensure financial accuracy of production job closings and general postings. Prepare monthly financial closing along with all associated reports and reconciliations. Perform inventory reconciliation to the general ledger, customer inventory roll‑forwards, manufacturing jobs, and variance analysis. Assist in preparing annual budget and periodic forecast updates for the operation. Provide financial analysis of operational financial performance and prepare presentations to local and senior management. Identify and implement process improvements and best practices. Support corporate accounting functions, including financial records and reporting. Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or CMA certifications preferred. Minimum 8 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Broad range of accounting experience including cost accounting, financial accounting, financial analysis, and auditing. Advanced level of Excel proficiency, including pivot tables. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Proven ability to travel on a quarterly basis, including international travel. Proven track record of consistently preparing monthly account reconciliations. Strong business analysis, communication, collaboration, project management, and presentation skills. Experience in problem solving and investigating to resolve issues. Solid applied understanding of IFRS accounting. Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on leadership and relationship building.
