About the Role:
West Valley Pet Clinic in Woodland Hills, CA is looking for a friendly and passionate Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic! In this role, you'll play a vital part in creating a positive experience for pets and their owners from the moment they walk through our doors. If you love animals and thrive in a fast-paced, compassionate environment, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive and stress-free check-in experience
- Schedule and confirm appointments, managing a busy multi-line phone system
- Accurately enter and maintain client and patient records in veterinary practice management software
- Process payments, invoices, and insurance claims at the front desk
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to coordinate patient flow
- Respond to client inquiries in person, by phone, and via email regarding services, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office and waiting area
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a veterinary receptionist, veterinary assistant, or in a related animal care setting preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable handling and interacting with animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Proficiency with veterinary software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone, or similar) is a plus
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume clinic environment
- Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented demeanor
- High school diploma or equivalent required
