Shift Details

This position requires a full-time commitment of 36 hours per week, specifically on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The shifts will be 12 hours long, running from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Please note that there may be requests for variable shifts depending on census needs. Additionally, holiday coverage will require being on call, and you may be asked to assist as necessary.

Vaccination Requirement

Influenza vaccination is mandatory as per state regulations unless a medical exemption is provided and approved by Employee Health.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide patient care that is appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric, pediatric, and general populations.
• Ensure the safety and confidentiality of all patients at all times.
• Communicate the mission and vision of the organization effectively and develop strong working relationships with patients, physicians, and staff members.
• Perform MRI procedures, including building protocols and screening patients for any contraindications, adhering to safety requirements as per ACR and facility protocols.
• Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures, addressing their concerns with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Educate patients about procedures and address any questions they may have.
• Maintain patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting the removal of hazardous metal objects, and alerting staff of potential dangers related to the magnetic equipment.
• Monitor patients visually and verbally at all times throughout procedures.
• Operate equipment necessary for daily duties and patient care.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment to promote good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
• Report on the status of equipment and help monitor inventory levels.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Professional Requirements

• Education: Associate's Degree or a Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT registration is required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within four months of hire and maintained thereafter.
