Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients per physician orders and clinical protocols
- Manage ventilators and related respiratory equipment; administer aerosolized medications; perform airway clearance therapies as indicated
- Monitor patient status, record findings, interpret ABGs, and adjust therapy within scope of practice
- Document interventions and progress in the electronic health record; communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
- Float to M/S, ED, and Birthing Center as needed and participate in on-call rotation per unit needs
- Support patient and family education regarding respiratory therapies and equipment

Requirements
- Vermont state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner; active or eligible to practice
- Certification: NBRC-verified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT eligible to take the NBRC exam
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP; PALS (per facility requirements); NRP required upon submission
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; NICU experience within the last year preferred or required per unit needs
- Unit experience: Demonstrated ability to work in ICU/ED environments and to float between M/S, ED, and related units
- Education: Respiratory care credentialing appropriate to Vermont licensure; Epic experience within the past 2 years is preferred
