Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care across a broad patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults
- Administer and titrate therapies (oxygen, aerosolized meds, CPT, bronchial hygiene) and manage mechanical ventilation as directed
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, interpret results, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Monitor patient status and ventilator parameters; respond to changes in condition; document care in the EMR and communicate with physicians
- Participate in rounds and care coordination with ICU, ED, and other units; collaborate with nurses, physicians, and respiratory care colleagues
- Maintain equipment, ensure infection prevention practices, and follow unit-specific policies and procedures (including Epic EMR documentation and Pyxis medication management)

Requirements
- Vermont state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or active eligibility to obtain licensure (CRRT/RT is acceptable per NBRC requirements)
- Certification: Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligible to take NBRC written exam; NBRC verification preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications; PALS as applicable
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care specialty
- NICU experience within the last year; patient population includes ICU and ED with a preference for newborn/pediatric experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (within the past 2 years) and Pyxis; ability to float to M/S, ED, and Birthing Center as needed
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; ability to travel for a 4-week assignment
- License on file at time of submission and reliable transportation
