Responsibilities Clinical Practice – Follow the nursing process to deliver safe, compassionate, and culturally effective care. Gather and synthesize assessment data to determine patient/family plan of care, recognize clinical changes, utilize the CAT team when appropriate, and coordinate care across the continuum. Develop, implement, and revise the patient’s plan of care. Consistently follow evidence‑based practice bundles and nursing standards to eliminate preventable events of patient harm. Communication – Document nursing interventions and outcomes using hospital standards, policies, and procedures. Follow safe hand‑off practices. Utilize safety behaviors for error prevention and communicate safety concerns to unit leadership. Employ effective verbal and nonverbal communication techniques and encourage patient/family self‑advocacy. Collaboration – Demonstrate effective teamwork as a member of the interdisciplinary care team. Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds, make recommendations for the plan of care, and revise the plan based on decisions made on rounds. Incorporate evidence‑based practice into direct care and build professional relationships with family and ancillary staff. Professional Development – Model positive nursing appearance and behaviors, expand clinical judgment and critical thinking, and demonstrate mastery of Family‑Centered Care principles. Participate in initiatives to improve satisfaction scores, shared governance activities, and Magnet designation activities. Practice fiscal stewardship, manage own time, conserve resources, and identify cost‑saving opportunities. Clinical Informatics – Manage patient care data, outcome data, and emerging healthcare technology. Navigate the EHR, use decision support tools, and maintain compliance with mandatory education and competency requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the science of nursing through literature reviews and research participation. Education Qualifications Technical Diploma Nursing – Required Bachelor’s Degree Nursing – Preferred Experience Qualifications At least one (1) year RN experience – Required Prior experience in pediatrics or area of specialty – Preferred Skills And Abilities Computer competency, basic use of a computer, Microsoft Office, web browsing, and intranet search. Use of shared network file space and basic use of patient‑facing technology such as IV pumps, point‑of‑care devices, and CR monitors. Information literacy: determine the nature and extent of clinical information, access it efficiently, evaluate sources critically, and incorporate into practice. Information management literacy: navigate the electronic health record system, locate and review patient data, use clinical decision support tools, and understand policies of confidentiality and privacy. Ability to collect clinical data using quality improvement tools. Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) – State Licensing Board – upon hire – Required Nursing Temporary Practice Permit (Pennsylvania) – State Licensing Board – upon hire – Required Registered Nurse (New Jersey) – State Licensing Board – upon hire – Required Nursing Temporary Practice Permit (New Jersey) – State Licensing Board – upon hire – Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – Certification required upon hire Salary Range $48.30 – $58.15 Hourly. Salary ranges are shown for full‑time jobs; part‑time pay will be adjusted accordingly. Factors such as skills and experience could result in an offer above the range noted in this posting.
