In this role, you’ll lead, coach, and develop a specific production area, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.PositionSenior Process Improvement EngineerLocationUSA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create PossibilitiesManufacturing OperationsLead and optimize performance within a designated production area, driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and costOversee maintenance, continuous improvement, and overall efficiency of equipment across production lines and fabrication areasSupport the Operations Manager and coordinate daily production start-up to ensure lines are operational, properly staffed, and running smoothlyMonitor and analyze production and fabrication data to identify performance gaps and ensure effective communication across shiftsImplement and sustain lean manufacturing practices and standardized work to maintain process stabilityCoach equipment operators and Team Leaders to ensure adherence to established processes and standardsContinuous ImprovementLead problem-solving efforts and root cause analysis to address inefficiencies within the production areaFacilitate kaizen events and implement countermeasures to improve manufacturing line performanceChampion the Appliance Production System and promote a culture of continuous improvementLeadership & AdministrationProvide leadership and direction to team members, ensuring consistent and fair application of policies, procedures, and work rulesCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to plan and execute long-term equipment and process improvement projectsEnsure accurate and timely completion of payroll, disciplinary documentation, and other administrative responsibilitiesPartner with Human Resources on employee relations and disciplinary mattersQuality & SafetyEnsure all products meet quality specifications and uphold established quality standards across the production lineLead quality reviews, track defects, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production issuesPromote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures, proper PPE usage, leading incident investigations, and implementing corrective actionsWhat You'll Bring to Our Team5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and project executionBachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required or in progress, preferably in Engineering or a related fieldExperience working with or leading metal fabrication and/or automated equipment operationsSix Sigma certification preferred, with strong knowledge of Lean, DMAIC, and continuous improvement methodologiesProven track record of driving results using analytical problem-solving, project planning, and cross-functional teamworkExperience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles in an operational settingLeadership experience or technical expertise in areas such as manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials management, quality, procurement, or fulfillmentDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels, including maintaining positive union relationsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesHigh level of initiative, energy, and motivation, with a commitment to team success and professional growthDemonstrated technical proficiency in manufacturing or operations environmentsExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving abilities with consistent follow-through on initiativesExperience facilitating and leading team-based projectsWillingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including occasional off-shift, on-call, and weekend workOur CultureOur work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
