Our supportive and inclusive environment invites passionate individuals to join as an EVS Supervisor. Responsibilities Maintains a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas. Participates in staff selection, interviews candidates, schedules days off, holidays, and vacations to meet facility needs. Assigns personnel to work areas or projects and coordinates project work. Ensures staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education. Reviews and updates duty lists, ensuring they are current and approved. Follows supply control guidelines and trains staff on chemical use. Identifies and corrects facility quality assurance concerns proactively. Attends departmental staff meetings, staff development, and training courses. Provides guidance and motivates Environmental Specialists; disciplines them according to progressive guidelines when necessary. Monitors attendance patterns and takes proactive action. Maintains records, logbooks, and service binders; addresses client concerns promptly. Participates in the Quality Assurance Program; performs QA inspections; maintains high cleanliness standards. Assigns, monitors, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies. Prepares disciplinary and variance reports; conducts investigations; reports findings. Responds to concerns and requests with urgency, taking corrective action and follow‑up. Ensures security integrity at the facility. Handles special requests or projects; performs other duties as assigned. Assists Environmental Specialists as needed and maintains clean, organized office and storage areas. Provides customer service with respect, flexibility, and professionalism; responds timely to all inquiries. Maintains departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards; identifies policy gaps and creates necessary updates. Adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct and understands the Mission, Vision, and Values Statements. Position Qualifications One year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or service‑related field with high customer/client contact. Proficiency with Windows office software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English to the required extent. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Job Setting / Physical Demands All areas of Medical Center; contact with staff, patients, visitors. Frequent prolonged standing and walking. Occasional pushing, pulling, moving or lifting heavy equipment or supplies. Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and/or crouching required. Manual dexterity and mobility required.
