Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Souderton, PA Hourly Rate based on experience (plus $1 differential) Will discuss at initial phone screen 2nd and 3rd Shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Support injection molding and automated assembly equipment through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and repair injection molding and high speed automated assembly equipment.
  • Support machine changeovers and setup activities as needed.
  • Perform breakdown and emergency repairs to restore production quickly and safely.
  • Execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks, inspections, and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety, SQF, GMP, and plant policies.
  • Support food safety and quality standards through proper maintenance practices.
  • Report safety concerns, near misses, and equipment risks promptly.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to meet uptime and quality targets.
  • Participate in Lean, CI, and reliability improvement projects as schedule allows.
  • Enter and track maintenance work orders and equipment history in the CMMS.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory for production equipment.
  • Support molding operations as workload and schedule require.
  • Provide shift coverage, including nights, weekends, and emergency call ins when needed.
  • Support training and knowledge sharing with new and existing team members.
  • Perform other maintenance related duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:

    • 2+ years of injection molding maintenance experience, including hot runner systems.
    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
    • Experience with high speed automated manufacturing equipment.
    • Experience installing and setting up high cavity injection molds (100–500 ton presses).
    • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
    • Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance systems.
    • Self motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
    • Experience with advanced hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
    • Experience with automation, conveyors, box loading/counting equipment, and PLCs.
    • Six Sigma or Lean experience or certification.
    • Bi axial blow molding or similar manufacturing background.
    • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
