Job Description

As a Carpenter Foreman, you will work under the direct supervision of site superintendents and be regularly monitored by ownership. Your role involves constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand and power tools. You will work on both the interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings. Please note that employees will not operate equipment or drive vehicles, nor will they handle money. All jobsites are uninhabited structures.

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.

• Utilize carpenter's hand and power tools effectively.

• Work on interiors and exteriors of various types of buildings including commercial and industrial.

• Adhere to building codes and standard methods, materials, practices, principles, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade.

• Implement critical thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches.

• Read and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

• Install materials, equipment, and products to meet specifications.

• Apply mathematics to measure accurately, calculate dimensions, and solve problems.

• Maintain knowledge of construction equipment and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.

• Plan ahead and organize jobsite material and activity.

• Inspect products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

• Manage resources and time appropriately to control costs and ensure effective use of equipment, facilities, materials, and manpower.

• Promote safety by following relevant equipment policies, procedures, and strategies to protect people and property.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of La Crescent, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00/hr.
