About ERP and the Project

Energy Resilience Partners, LLC (ERP) is a tribally led SBA 8(a) federal contractor advancing energy resilience and mission assurance. ERP was awarded the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant Microgrid and Combined Heat and Power construction contract in Independence, Missouri. ERP is recruiting its prime-contractor team to direct and oversee the work.

The project integrates a 15 MW dual-fuel turbine CHP system, HRSGs and steam interfaces, natural-gas and backup propane systems, 12.47 kV distribution and substations, SEL-based protection, microgrid controls, cybersecurity, operator training, and full commissioning at an operating industrial facility. The contract allows 1,014 calendar days after notice to proceed. Recruiting begins now; assignment and site mobilization depend on the required bonds, Government NTP, access, and role-specific onboarding.

Position Summary

Administer the site APP/AHAs, daily inspections, incident reporting and subcontract safety coordination for lifts, excavation, electrical work, hot work, steam, gas and LPG. Escalate unsafe conditions and document corrective action.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and administer project safety plans and activity hazard analyses with trade supervisors.
• Inspect excavation, confined space, rigging, work at height, energized electrical, hot work, pressure tests, gas and LPG activities.
• Lead orientation, toolbox talks, incident/near-miss response, corrective action, and trend reporting.
• Review work plans and stop or escalate unsafe activities under the approved safety authority.
• Coordinate RICHARD and lower-tier safety staff so coverage matches approved work and shift patterns.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated industrial construction safety experience and training appropriate to the applicable contract and EM 385-1-1 edition; OSHA 30 and first aid/CPR preferred at application, with required credentials verified before site assignment.
• Safety training and experience sufficient for the role-specific contract requirements and applicable EM 385-1-1 edition.
• Ability to maintain field coverage and accurate incident and training records.
• Ability to meet the applicable installation access, safety, information-handling, and assignment requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction, First Aid/CPR/AED, CHST, CSP, or equivalent.
• Industrial power, steam, fuel or high-voltage construction safety.
• Relevant military, Tribal, apprenticeship, or nontraditional experience that demonstrates equivalent capability where the role permits it.

What Success Looks Like

Approved APP/AHA records, current training, documented inspections, and timely closure of hazards.

Field, Travel and Employment Conditions

• Work at an operating industrial installation may involve outdoor weather, uneven ground, stairs or ladders, construction noise, PPE, and coordination around ongoing plant operations. The actual essential functions will be reviewed for the assigned role.
• Project needs may include scheduled outages, factory testing, startup travel, or occasional weekend and alternate-shift work, subject to employer policies and approved site plans.
• Final assignment follows approved work packages, qualifications, installation access, and project authorization. Personnel who handle FCI/CUI must use only approved systems and procedures.
• ERP will provide the approved compensation range, benefits, and any travel terms through its normal hiring process. The internal CSS compensation category is not a promise of a particular rate.
