Licensed Practical NurseAll KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHIs vision of providing the regions best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations. Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in dynamic environment. Responsible for maintaining all applicable KHI Policies and Procedures. Escorts patient to exam room and prepares patient for exam including vital signs, history, and reason for seeking care. Cross trains in data entry, balancing of accounts, charges fees and collect payments due. Schedules/confirms appointments. Maintains and facilitates communication between patients, family, and clinical staff. Reports as necessary to Public Health at direction of provider. Maintains work area including exam rooms, supplies, medication, and immunizations. Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens. Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests. May perform venipuncture. Participates in division meetings.Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing.
