Supervisor Internal Patient Transporter - Night shift

Job Summary Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Internal Patient Transport Department. Assesses all transport requests and daily volume demands for transport services, schedules and makes daily assignments accordingly. Maintains adequate staffing coverage in all areas of responsibility. Monitors and evaluates the activities and performance of the IPT Coordinators/Dispatchers, Lead Transporters, Transporter Associates, HUB IPT Leadership and volunteers/AARP. Oversees all staff scheduling, orientation, training, and discipline. Develops and maintains liaisons with other departments to coordinate patient transportation and information desk related services. Core Competencies Qualifications Associate Degree and/or one to two years of college. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting or related service organization. Previous experience preparing work schedules and performance evaluations. Working knowledge of patient tracking/transport and HOS systems preferred. Previous dispatch and/or transport experience preferred. Demonstrated experience supervising multiple employees. Excellent communication and writing skills. Working knowledge and demonstrated ability with computer technology. Ability to lead, organize, and motivate a diverse group of people. Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail. General knowledge of patient transport and its function in a hospital setting.
