Utility Clerk

Job Summary A financial services organization in Monterey Park and City of Industry, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Utility Clerk for an opportunity. This role is ideal for a banking professional with teller experience, strong cash handling accuracy, and a customer-focused approach. The Utility Clerk will support daily branch operations by processing financial transactions, assisting with account maintenance, balancing work, and providing professional service to clients. Key Responsibilities Process routine financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, wire transfers, and safe deposit access. Handle account maintenance requests, open new accounts, and maintain accurate customer and account records. Balance cash drawer activity, verify totals, reconcile reports, and assist with daily balancing procedures. Support branch staff with research requests, data entry, document retrieval, reports, correspondence, and internal forms. Provide courteous, professional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with bank policies and security procedures. Assist with special projects and other related branch support duties as assigned. Required Qualifications and Skills Process teller transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain customer and account records in accordance with bank procedures. Balance cash drawer activity and reconcile daily work. Provide branch support through data entry, research, reporting, and document handling. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of teller or banking experience required. Bilingual English and Chinese required. Strong cash handling accuracy and attention to detail. Working knowledge of banking systems, bank policies, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow compliance, security, and banking procedures. Ability to work a full-time schedule, including Saturdays as needed. Preferred Qualifications Prior leadership or senior-level teller experience preferred.
