Our Chef plays an important role in supporting children's growth and development by preparing nutritious, appealing meals and snacks each day.

Position Details

Starting Pay:

$18.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for approximately 150-200 students daily.

Follow established menus and Primrose nutritional guidelines.

Coordinate weekly menus with the Leadership Team.

Manage food inventory, ordering, and kitchen supplies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.

Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment and workspaces.

Follow food safety, sanitation, and childcare licensing requirements.

Safely accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions.

Maintain an efficient kitchen and consistent meal service schedule.

Qualifications

Previous cooking, kitchen, or food service experience preferred but not required.

Training provided for candidates who meet position requirements.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Effective communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required for kitchen duties.

Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
