Direct Support Professional - Residential (Floating OVN)

Salary: $18.91 - $20.14 (+$.50 for floating position)

Differential: +$1.00 pay differential for night shift; $1.00 pay differential weekend shifts!

Position Overview: Join our Residential Team as a Floating Overnight Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference by ensuring safe and comfortable environments for individuals with developmental disabilities while they sleep. In this vital overnight role, you'll provide support with evening and morning routines, perform regular safety checks, assist with personal care as needed, and complete household tasks to keep the home running smoothly. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday Overnights

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals which will enable them to develop and/or acquire skills in various aspects of daily living which may include communication, social, recreational, and leisure activities, self or personal care, household management, travel, work-related or vocational opportunities, money management, etc. in accordance with an individualized plan of service, and following all safety considerations.
• Provides training opportunities designed to enhance each person's self-sufficiency in the areas of independent living
• Promotes agency mission, vision, and values.
• Travels between four residential homes to help with staffing needs. 

Requirements

• 18 years old
• HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/and or experience preferred
• Reliable means of transportation, NYS driver's license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
