Emergency Room Nurse working in the ER department in a high-volume, high-acuity facility. This position involves providing specialized emergency care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, stroke, pediatrics, and psychiatric cases, on a night shift schedule.

Job Details

• Location: ER department, working nights
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required; COVID vaccination certification necessary
• Education Requirements: No specific degree required, but must hold licensure to submit
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency room specialty, with travel experience preferred
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, nights from 6p-6a, minimum 36 hours per week
• Responsibilities include handling high patient volumes with a focus on trauma, stroke, pediatrics, and psych cases, working within a high-acuity environment, and participating in emergency response procedures.
• Candidates are expected to have experience working in Level II trauma or above, with the capability to lead teamwork efforts in a fast-paced ER setting.
• Additional considerations include handling trauma patients depending on experience, and working within a team that emphasizes seniority-based tasks and responsibilities.
• The facility operates 24/7 with dedicated in-house hospitalist and intensivist care, as well as constant availability of pharmacy and respiratory therapy.
• Shift flexibility, orientation processes, and scheduling are structured to support efficient team functions.
• Certification in emergency nursing and trauma are preferred but not mandatory.
