Women's And Children's Team PositionOur Women's and Children's Team is currently looking for a highly motivated individual, ready for a fast-paced environment who strives to deliver the best experience to our patients. Must work well as part of a supportive and positive team, while being very capable of multi-tasking and impeccable time management. Our team provides comprehensive care on our 28 bed unit to postpartum women and their newborns (greater than 35 weeks gestation), antepartum, gynecological and pediatric (0-18 years old) patients. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical, emotional, and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patient population. We closely follow AWHONN staffing standards for safe patient care. Our Maternal Child team along with our Centers of Excellence at NRHS has earned Advanced Perinatal Care Certification (ACPC), accredited through The Joint Commission. NRHS is recognizes as a Certified Safe Sleep Hospital at the Gold Level by Cribs for Kids.Job SummaryAssessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy.Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.Professional Practice.Serves as department leader alongside and in absence of Nurse Manager.Maintain ACLS.RN will oversee and promote bedside handoff at shift changes.QualificationsEducationDiploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.Experience1 year experience as a Registered Nurse preferredLicensure/CertificationCurrent Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.RNs with less than one year experience are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.Schedule7a-7pWork ShiftDayPosition TypeRegular Full Time
