Job Description Job Description Job Title: Associate Scientist Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Scientist with animal care experience, particularly with rodents such as rats or mice, in a laboratory setting. The role requires strong technical writing skills, including SOP writing, and proficiency in microbiology, microscopy, and aseptic technique. You will be responsible for quality control of data prepared by other technicians, as well as lab report writing. Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook are essential. The position involves conducting experiments using tissue culture methods, isolating immune cells from rodents or other sources, and propagating bacteria. Experiments typically span 3-5 days, with multiple experiments often running concurrently. You will use equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, vacuum aspirators, and biosafety cabinets. Additionally, you will engage in online training, data collection, management, reporting, and laboratory cleaning/maintenance during incubation phases.
