Overview Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center Williamsburg, Virginia Position: Registered Nurse – Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) Work Location: Williamsburg, VA Work Shift: Day shift, First shift (645 AM – 7:15 PM) with rotating weekend schedule Responsibilities The RN is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation. The RN applies standards of practice and professional performance to meet the needs of patients in the Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit, including those with heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, post‑interventions, post‑ablation care, acute myocardial infarction, pre‑ and post‑catheterization patients, and patients experiencing acute stroke.
