In this position, you will draw on your skills as a Paraprofessional or Behavioral Health Assistant, providing attentive, individualized support to pediatric students who benefit from behavioral or special education services. You’ll work closely with students, encouraging positive social, emotional, and academic growth in a nurturing environment. The role will also require providing personal care, including toileting, when necessary.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience in a school-based or behavioral/Special Education setting
• Familiarity with supporting children requiring 1:1 assistance, especially on behavioral caseloads
• Compassion, patience, and a proactive problem-solving attitude
• Flexibility and comfort managing personal care needs, including toileting support
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with school staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students one-on-one to promote engagement in school activities
• Implement behavioral interventions tailored to each student’s needs
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
• Communicate student progress and any concerns to ELOP staff and program coordinators
• Support with daily routines, including personal care as needed
