Assistant Director of Nursing

We are excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) within our compassionate and dedicated hospice team.

This role is ideal for a clinical leader who is passionate about hospice care, committed to clinical excellence, and ready to take the next step in their professional journey.

As ADON, you will work closely with the executive Director and Director of Nursing to provide support, guidance, and oversight to our clinical team. This includes helping to ensure compliance, quality care delivery, staff mentorship, and smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the DON in oversight of daily clinical operations and nursing staff performance.
• Assist with supervision, coaching, and development of clinical team members.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement (QAPI), and regulatory readiness activities.
• Ensure appropriate clinical documentation and compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate across disciplines to support patient-centered, compassionate end-of-life care.
• Step in for the DON during absences, meetings, or as needed.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new clinical staff.
• Participate in case conferences, audits, and care planning processes.
• Serve as a resource for complex clinical situations and staff concerns.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing in the state of Arizona.
• Minimum [2+] years of hospice experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, documentation standards, and clinical best practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to supporting staff and delivering exceptional patient care.
