Medical Technician

Part-Time Youth Development Specialist Pay: $18.00 per hour. DailyPay available. Location: 10058 South Mountain Road, Building 6, South Mountain, PA. Program Leadership Development Program (LDP, Building 6) What You’ll Do This position promotes good health, treats minor medical conditions, provides first aid, administers medications, and ensures medical needs of clients under supervision. Job Duties Administers prescription and over‑the‑counter medications, first aid, and triages to clients as needed. Performs visual inspection of medication logs to assure medications are administered at scheduled times. Addresses sick calls and provides treatment under Physician Standing Orders. Completes medical intake, including measuring vital signs and initial health assessment. Maintains medical documentation, history, and files on each client, abiding by HIPAA compliance. Designates appropriate client referrals to contracted services. Obtains blood and urine samples, processes laboratory requests, coordinates courier services. Orders and maintains stock of prescription medications, vaccines, and medical supplies. Performs daily assessment of program medical issues, consults or coordinates with medical staff as required. Responds to interventions, monitors resident physical status, and maintains safe environment. Supports the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care. Demonstrates use of safe crisis management techniques. Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Technician (preferred). Other Qualifications: At least 21 years old. Valid Driver’s License. Physical exam including TB and drug testing. Background checks meeting federal and state criteria. Completion of background screening and pre‑employment checks. Ability to use required computer software. Schedule Full‑Time. Shift: Weekend Shift – Friday to Sunday, 12‑hour shifts; Tuesday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed.
