The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic at South Mountain Restoration Center. This isn't just another garage job. You'll work independently, tackle different mechanical challenges, and help keep the facility's vehicles and essential equipment running. What You'll Do 1. Diagnose and repair cars, trucks, tractors, and other equipment. 2. Repair brakes, transmissions, clutches, and other mechanical components. 3. Maintain and repair emergency generators and air compressors. 4. Perform Pennsylvania state vehicle inspections. 5. Complete welding, brazing, and minor body repairs as needed. 6. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week 2. Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM 3. 30-minute lunch Do You Qualify? You must meet one of the following: 1. Four years of professional experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or 2. Completion of an approved apprenticeship; or 3. An equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Additional Requirements: 1. Valid Class C driver's license 2.
