Compensation:

Base Salary: $160,000
Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Package Available

About the Hospital:

A 127-bed Level III Trauma Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support Surgical Services and collaborate with a team of skilled physicians in delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Overview:

The Physician Assistant - General Surgery will provide comprehensive care, assisting in surgeries and performing procedures within their scope of practice. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in surgical procedures across Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, or ENT
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice
Set up and turn over surgical rooms efficiently
Ensure proper sterile techniques are maintained at all times
Work collaboratively with surgeons, OR teams, and other healthcare professionals
Provide patient care with a customer-service-oriented approach
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to best practices in healthcare
Take personal responsibility for continuous education and professional development

Schedule Options:

Choice of shifts: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts

Required Qualifications:

Active & clear Physician Assistant license
Board Certification required
Minimum 2+ years of Orthopedics PA experience (excluding training)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks frequently
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
Compliance with standard precautions due to exposure risks

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary: $160,000 (for full-time, 40-hour week)
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000
