We are seeking a highly experienced Sunnen Honing Machine Operator to join a precision aircraft component repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating honing machines to achieve tight tolerances and surface finishes on repaired aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Sunnen horizontal and/or vertical honing machines to perform precision internal honing operations.
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings. Inspect finished parts using micrometers, dial bore gauges, air gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerance, finish, and productivity standards.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety protocols.
Work collaboratively with quality inspectors and engineers to resolve machining issues.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience operating Sunnen honing machines in a precision or aerospace environment.
Strong understanding of tight tolerances (e.g., ±.0001") and surface finish requirements.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and gage calibration practices.

Pay Range: $30.00 - 45.00

Locations: Santa Clarita, CA
