Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Specialist – Manufacturing

Location: Bellefonte, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

We're hiring a  Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Specialist for a well-established manufacturing operation in Bellefonte, PA.

This is  not just a packing-boxes position .

We're looking for someone who understands how shipping, receiving, inventory and documentation all work together in a manufacturing environment. You'll have responsibility for incoming material, stockroom accuracy, outgoing shipments, shipping records and inventory transactions.

If you've worked in a  shipping department, stockroom, parts room, manufacturing warehouse, inventory department or materials operation , we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for a combination of  receiving, inventory control and outbound shipping , including:

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against  packing slips and purchase orders
• Enter received materials, purchase orders and RMAs into an  ERP/inventory system
• Identify shortages, incorrect shipments or documentation discrepancies
• Maintain accurate  stockroom locations, inventory bins and quantities
• Track material moving into and out of the stockroom
• Process inventory requests and material transactions
• Assist with physical inventory and inventory counts
• Review customer orders and shipping requirements before product leaves the facility
• Verify  part numbers, quantities, paperwork and shipment documentation
• Prepare and package products for shipment
• Create shipping labels and arrange carrier pickups
• Work with  UPS and FedEx shipping systems
• Handle both  domestic and international shipments
• Complete shipping paperwork and maintain organized electronic and physical records
• Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, accounting and management

You do not need experience with the company's exact ERP system. If you've used another ERP, warehouse, inventory or shipping system and can learn new software quickly, we still want to talk to you.

The strongest candidate will be someone who is:

• Extremely accurate with  part numbers, quantities and paperwork
• Comfortable working on a computer throughout the day
• Organized and able to keep a stockroom under control
• Comfortable switching between hands-on warehouse work and computer/documentation responsibilities
• Dependable and consistent with attendance
• Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Able to frequently lift up to 40 lbs.
• Forklift certified  or willing/able to become certified

Knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping methods, including domestic and international shipments, is specifically required by the underlying position description.
