We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Health Unit Coordinator to support overnight hospital operations. This role is responsible for coordinating administrative and patient-related activities while ensuring accurate registration, verification, and documentation.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Health Unit Coordinator to support overnight hospital operations. This role is responsible for coordinating administrative and patient-related activities while ensuring accurate registration, verification, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate patient registration and demographic verification.
- Verify patient information, insurance, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate and maintain patient records and administrative information.
- Support healthcare staff with unit coordination and clerical tasks.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route calls appropriately.
- Enter and update information accurately in hospital systems/EHR.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Provide dependable administrative support throughout the overnight shift.
- Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, medical office, or administrative setting preferred.
- Experience with patient registration, insurance verification, or healthcare documentation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
- Basic computer and electronic medical record (EHR) skills.
- Ability to work 10:00 PM-6:30 AM, five nights per week .
